Fungal infections usually involve topical symptoms like discoloration and deformation of the nails. In some cases, pain and discomfort have also been recorded. The most common fungus infecting the nail is called T rubrum and it usually starts at the end of the nail and raises it up. Fungal infections are more common in toes than fingers.
